EP Productions

EP Productions is the educational aspect of EP. We work with companies, student groups, universities, improv groups, and non profits.

“If we treat each other as if we are geniuses, poets, and artists, we have a better chance of becoming that on-stage.” – Del Close (Founder iO)

Now, imagine if you and your coworkers treated each other like that every day in every instance, would you become more productive? Would it be a more comfortable workplace? Would your team come up with better solutions to your problems? Would your performance team become a better and more confident team? Would your customers feel more comfortable and want to come back to your business?

Yes.

EP PRODUCTIONS has worked with improv groups to become better at their art form.

We have worked with fraternities and sororities to gain a better understanding of how to use their history with new and changing demands to enter into the modern college experience.

EP Instructors have taught improv to kids, adults, busness people, and customer service professionals to make them all more creative and able to deal with change and stress better.

EP Workshop Leaders use their unique experiences and improv knowledge to benefit many. The benefits of using improv can be seen in everything from customer interaction to boardroom presentations. They use logic to get “buy in” from higher ups, trust and patience to create respect from everyone in the organization, and builds communication skills to make everyone their most creative selves.

In improv we do not have the opportunity to plan long into the future, too many things can change in every moment, and improvisers enjoy change because it keeps them having to create, to say those magical words, “Yes, and…” Improvisers cannot ignore the world that surrounds them, instead they must notice everything and make split second choices.

We can use improv to:
• Identify how others communicate and learn how to listen
• Realize that as part of a team, there is no real leader— everyone must work together
• Every additional style can only help broaden the end product
• Realize that there are no wrong ideas
• Recognize that status is inherent in every interaction
• When we work as a team, titles and positions should not negatively effect the end product
• When we respect those around us, and trust that they are doing the best they can, that they will respect us as well
• Respect and understanding is instrumental to all good teamwork
• We cannot do our job if we are worried about what everyone else is doing
• Status can be shifted and balanced
• Understand how “yes, and” is the foundation for a group to do the impossible
If your group, team, or fraternity, sorority, or company can benefit from these ideas, then contact EP Productions to have him create a specialized curriculum to benefit you and your group.
